Dods horses poised for third runs in Bahrain

Commanche Falls and Northern Express have the third runs of their winter campaign in Bahrain later today (Thursday).
The stable stalwarts are both running over unusual distances - with Commanche Falls coming down to five furlongs and Northern Express facing a stiffer than normal one mile and a furlong.
However, Assistant Trainer, Chloe Dods, is hopeful they will both cope on the Bahrain track, with Connor Beasley riding.
Commanche Falls runs in the Al Sakhir Cup Handicap Sponsored By Texel Air, while Northern Express competes in the Bahrain Vision Cup Handicap Sponsored By Beyon.
The pair have been earning their corn with solid runs since travelling to the Middle East. Commanche Falls has been runner-up twice, while Northern Express followed up a sixth with a third place at 66-1 last time.
Chloe, who is over in Bahrain with the horses, said: "They both seem to be absolutely loving it over here and they're fit, so it's just been a question of keeping them ticking over between races.
"They're running over distances that aren't normal for them and Commanche is likely to be outpaced early on but Connor thinks he'll be fine on that track.
"Paul Mulrennan reported that Northern Express was doing his best work at the end of his last race over a mile, so fingers crossed they'll both run well again."
